Christchurch residents are invited to join us for a fabulous evening of entertainment at the Christchurch Soup on 21 October, to support local initiatives for children and young people.
Guests at the Soup event will have the opportunity to hear eight creative pitches from local organisations that support children and young people, who are all vying for a £1,000 funding pot. Guests will also enjoy a bowl of hearty soup, roll and drink, and then vote with their bowls for the project they believe deserves funding – like a live Dragons Den, but a little bit less scary! More entertainment on the night will also be provided by the wonderful Swing Unlimited Community Band.
Rev Sandra Prudom, CEO at Christchurch Community Partnership, said: "The Christchurch Soup promised to be a wonderful event. It's essentially a live crowdfunder with friendly, fun audience participation that creates a great atmosphere for our local organisations to pitch their projects!"
The organisations pitching at this year's event are:
The Priory School
St Joseph's School
Somerford Youth and Community Centre
My Time Young Carers
Christchurch Music Centre
Mudeford Girl Guides
University Hospitals Dorset Charity
Untapped Art Therapy
